Land & Wave school trips are perfect for teachers looking for a quality school trip experience for their children. Our ethos is to deliver REAL outdoor experiences within the natural landscape. We climb on limestone cliffs, we swim in the salty sea, we embrace the smell of wood smoke from the campfire. You won't find any artificial climbing walls here.
Low stress | High quality
Teachers we applaud you. It's miraculous that you've even found the time to research this school trip. We know how valuable your time is, so we work hard to make the organisational process as smooth as possible. We've even built bespoke school trip software to make your paperwork and planning a breeze. We're also listed on the Evolve recommended suppliers list and are accredited by LOTC and AALA.

Arrive at midday and bring a packed lunch. After a quick tour of the Centre, we launch straight into activities.
We kick off your trip with a hands-on team building session to get students working together. It sets the benchmark for the week.
Teachers can kick back for the evening as we lead a host of well loved wide games such as 'Capture the Flag' and 'Chaos Tag'.
After a hearty breakfast, let's hit the beach! A full day of watersports and beach games awaits.
Students must construct a raft good enough to sail at sea or face a soggy bottom! Teamwork, leadership and communication is key to success.
Time to work on personal skills; balance, power and direction. We use lots of games to help students progress on the board.
Today we swap the salty sea air for a secret woodland wonderland. Survival skills and bushcraft is the order of the day.
Learn to build the perfect campfire; create flame with a flint and steel, bake bread on the campfire, culminating in the obligatory toasting of marshmallows.
Time for your Robin Hood moment; draw your bow and shoot your arrow in this amazing woodland setting. Next up - can you build a water-tight shelter?
A short five minute walk to the beach for an evening of sports and games on the golden sand. A perfect end to a busy day in the woods.
Now it's time for the kids to see their teachers step outside of their comfort zones.
Students love exploring this friendly seaside town. Armed with maps and checkpoints, it's a great navigation exercise that promotes independence.
Now ramp up the adrenaline with an afternoon of scrambling, swimming, jumping and playing in the sea. Coasteering is brilliant!
Everyone loves crabbing. This evening activity always starts off laid back, until the first catch of the day and the excitement builds.
Time for one final adventure. You'll be heading home with amazing tales, weary bodies and incredible achievements.
Buddy up and paddle a sit-on-top kayak around beautiful Swanage Bay. Jam-packed with fun and games, it's a perfect way to spend your last day.
Great rooms and food
The Swanage Centre is the perfect comfy base for a school trip. Spacious rooms, excellent shower facilities and top-notch food are all reasons why we love it and know you will too. It's a 5-minute walk to the sandy beach in Swanage. Security is paramount with keycode entry systems for bedrooms and building lockdowns at 10pm. There is also CCTV and 24-hour staff on duty.
Premium sports facilities
As if a full adventure programme isn't enough, you'll have full access to all the sports facilities at The Swanage Centre too. There's an indoor heated swimming pool, movie theatre, table tennis, sports dome with astro turf pitches, basketball court, tennis courts, aeroball, pool tables and more. We can block book areas for your group to use in your downtime and each school is also given a box of sports equipment to use for the week.
How to find us
The Swanage Centre
The Swanage Centre is located in the heart of the town, just moments from the beach.
Travel and parking
Swanage can be reached two ways; either take the A351 from Wareham OR travel across the chain ferry at Sandbanks and head to Swanage via Studland.
Upon arrival, coaches should follow the driveway to the end where there is room to turn and drop off bags. If you bring your own minibuses, we'll pay you £150 per bus if you are happy to use them during your week. Otherwise we provide all transport once you arrive.
